Over recent years, there has been a great return to snowshoes in the Alps, where they were hardly being used any more, due to the abandon of the mountain activities for which they were used, such as hunting or moving through areas where there were no roads, and after the great effort made during the first world war by the Alpine troops.
Walking in snowshoes is no more than a continuation of summer mountaineering.
It is an activity for all, even for children on easy and safe paths. Once the straps have been done up, the adventure can begin and an extraordinary way of experiencing the mountains in winter can be discovered.
On simple paths, there is no need for any particular technical knowledge for using snowshoes.
It is not necessary to climb up to great heights to enjoy unforgettable emotions. A blanket of snow on a forest road half way up the mountain is enough for trying the extraordinary experience of nature covered in white snow.
