Vermiglio (1200 m) is the last village of the Val di Sole, going up towards Passo del Tonale.
In winter, its vicinity to Passo Tonale means that Alpine skiing is possible, whilst for those who love peace and tranquillity, the best perfectly packed cross-country skiing pistes in the Val di Sole can be found, ideal both for those with less experience and for athletes.
In summer, it is ideal as a departure point for excursions in the Presanella range and mountain bike trips.
The tarns near the Vermigliana stream are very attractive.
The “White War” Museum can be found in Vermiglio, and on the road leading to Passo Tonale lies Forte Strino (fortress), which has recently been renovated.
